Taylor Patrick Surveyors was established in New Plymouth in 2007 to provide surveying design and planning services, mainly to the Taranaki Region. Since that time Taylor Patrick Surveyors has developed wide client relationships ranging from Local Authorities and Utility Companies to Farmers and Landowners.

Since that time Taylor Patrick Surveyors has continued to grow and attract new clients and projects, helping to shape the future of Taranaki.

Stefan Kiss

Director | Taylor Patrick Surveyors

Stefan has 21 years of professional experience in planning , surveying, design and land development; he has worked on major projects in Auckland and Wellington, as well as in the UK.

With Taylor Patrick, Stefan has enjoyed matching his skills to the often complex mix of environmental, planning and landform constraints of Taranaki. His specialist areas include surveying, subdivision (both rural and urban), planning and resource consents, 3-D modelling, and Infrastructure design.

Stefan enjoys mountain biking at Lake Mangamahoe, snow skiing in the winter, and surfing the breaks of the Taranaki coastline. He also keeps himself busy with the sports and activities of his two boys.

Keith Holswich

Senior Surveyor

Keith brings a wealth of more than 45 years professional surveying experience to Taylor Patrick. This includes working on projects both in New Zealand and many parts of the world including the Middle East, India, South East Asia, China and Australia, His specialist area includes not only surveying energy infrastructure projects, but also land development projects as well. Born and bred in New Plymouth, Keith is passionate about ensuring there is sustainable development in our wonderful Taranaki province.

In his free time, Keith and his Singapore born wife Gwenivere, enjoy spending extended time with their three children and four grandchildren who all live in Wellington. Keith is actively involved in his Ngati Rahiri and Ngati Hine hapu affairs to ensure that any development does not adversely affect waahi taonga sites and other sites of significance in the north Taranaki area.

Keith enjoys researching North Taranaki history and preparing short documentary videos.

Josh Lucas

Graduate Surveyor

Graduate surveyor Josh Lucas has six years of professional experience having completed his Survey Degree at Otago in 2011. Josh supports Graeme and Stefan with his specialist knowledge of surveying and design software and his expert use of GPS and Robotic Survey equipment in the field. Josh’s ability to practically navigate the decisions and issues posed by challenges in the field are highly respected by our clients.

In recent years Josh has developed a strong skillset in subdivision and land development design, using specialist software, and is heavily involved on site with land development construction work.

Josh has also established our Drone (UAV) unit – setting up the business systems and certifications needed to professionally operate under Part 101 of the Civil Aviation Authority.

Josh enjoys working and operating the machinary on the family farm and usually disappears down south at opening weekend of Duck Shooting Season.

Josh is working towards the projects and examinations required to become a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor.

Bryce Telfer

Survey Assistant

Bryce is our Survey Assistant and is a popular member of the team.  As a “former” Dairy Farmer (he still helps out on the family farm) and tennis player, he seems to know everybody in Taranaki ! When not on the golf course Bryce can be found assisting our Surveyors out on client sites.

Thomas Burley

Graduate Surveyor

Graduate surveyor Thomas Burley has six years of professional experience having completed his Survey Degree at Otago in 2011. Thomas supports Graeme and Stefan with his specialist knowledge of surveying and design software and his expert use of GPS and Robotic Survey equipment in the field. Thomas is also developing strong expertise in the field of planning, assisting our clients with resource consent applications. Thomas is also an accredited operator of our Drone craft and software.

Thomas’ previous experience includes two years in Australian mining and seismic surveying. He also spent ten months in Canada snow boarding, and enjoys surfing the waves of Taranaki’s coastline.

Thomas is working towards the projects and examinations required to become a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor

Amanda Kiss

Financial Manager

Amanda is the Financial Manager for Taylor Patrick and manages the finance operations and our practice managment software.

Amanda enjoys outdoor pursuits including tramping on Mount Taranaki, and is currently training in Waka Ama (Outrigger canoes) at Ngamotu harbour. She is also a super organised Mum of two awesome boys.

Graeme Howarth

Land Development Manager

Graeme has 32 years of professional experience in planning, surveying ,design and land development. He has worked the most part of his career in Taranaki, establishing a track record of excellence in land development design and management of construction projects. In recent years Graeme has been the surveyor and project manager of The Links Coastal Development, a premium subdivision development of more then 150 lots, along the Coast north of New Plymouth.

As Land Development Manager at Taylor Patrick, Graeme continues to provide strategic advice to his trusted land development clients, and to New Plymouth District Council.

Graeme is a proud grandfather (G-Dad) and enjoys spending time with family in New Plymouth, Auckland and Sydney. When Graeme is not out walking the Coastal Walkway, he can be found supporting his favourite teams – the All Blacks, Taranaki Rugby Union, and the Wellington Phoenix.
